Yes. You can't say anymore that he is shaking off the rust. There is something missing from his game, something that he lost during the lay off.
Of course, it feeds my theory that any extended time off is terrible for any player not named Federer, Nadal or Djokovic, so I can't say I am looking at this with complete objectivity. But it is one reason why I wonder how come the players take these extended breaks.
Hoping Mugu will prove me wrong.

I wish there was a way to turn off just the commentating during live matches so that I would not have to hear Prakash Armitraj blather incessantly during this Michelsen/Isner match.

Uhm, he served RIGHT handed (he therefore is) but then he took the ball from his left pocket and threw a very good pitch with his left arm. That pretty skillful.

It has a lot of tradition too. For the clay courters that will have to see a lot of hard courts for the next two months, time to make some money.

I wonder if Michelsen will go pro now. He's supposed to play for Georgia next year.

He committed to go the University of Georgia back at the end of last year, and classes begin mid-August so he will have to decide pretty quickly if he wants to go pro. He's almost certain at this point to get a wildcard, and even a first round loss is a substantial pay cheque to pass up.
