Yes, Emma. They have a point to prove. But not against you.
And, if that is the reason they beat you, the solution then is easy. Maybe you should get a point to prove too.

Re: 2025 US Open Women's Lists, Draws and Discussion
revised SF expectation
Vondrousova versus Krejcikova
Osaka vs Swiatek..
Vondrousova has beaten Sabalenka before, on rass, in fact, and is playing very well - can stand up to power, as she showed against Rybakina. Krejcikova is a Tier 1 player, two-time major champion, also playing well, she should be able to beat Pegula..
On the other side, Osaka is performing very well.. beat Coco as expected. There is a decent chance she can win the whole thing..

Osaka beat Coco as expected? Expected by whom?
I am not saying I am surprised she beat her; Coco is not playing well. But from there to expected there is a bit of road.
Marketa/Aryna. 5-4, 3-2 overall and hard courts for Aryna. Again, any outcome will be reasonable. But with Elena out, I say Aryna will meet her demise in the finals.

A bit surprised about the Pegula/Krejcikova match. The score was a bit too easy for Jessica. Anybody saw it?

Actually, checking predictions we went 6-4 in favor of Osaka over Gauff.

Krecikova was flat, and didn't have her legs - Pegula played her regular steady level, and won comfortably.

When you win, everybody is a wonder.
it is when you lose that you show who you really are.
She does not take losing easily. Which I gather is one reason why she is so great.

Re: 2025 US Open Women's Lists, Draws and Discussion
that is more or less what I saw.. I did see the whole match.. and anyway, Krejcikova's backswing is too elaborate for a fast court.. Pegula just didnt give her time, harried and pushed her.. well done!skatingfan wrote: ↑Wed Sep 03, 2025 11:14 amKrecikova was flat, and didn't have her legs - Pegula played her regular steady level, and won comfortably.
also, I dont think Krejcikova handles heat well - she had wilted at the AO against Keys a couple years ago..
