This is coming from tennis heads who like me have been posting these lists for a long time but who may have better sources than me. I think China still publishes the lists.
But why?! Isn't it in their interest to publish entry lists?

For some reason the WTA treats its entry lists as state secrets. It always had. The same site I use to get the ATP lists used to have WTA lists as well but as soon as whoever at the WTA found out about it the lists disappeared. There is another site posting them now but I hesitate to mention it.

It's the dumbest thing.

how does the rule limiting 250s to one Top 10 player do this? By limiting their opportunities for points elsewhere? Do they have a limit at 500s?

Nearly every 250 event takes place simultaneously with a 500, btw. That has to have something to do with it.

Apparently something wonky happened with the singles MD at Doha. I haven't seen any side by side comparisons other than those hotlinked to a WTA fan site.

Needless to say this has caused some drama...

This is the explanation posted by @meelis on WTAw
The i Paper understands that the confusion arose when the Doha draw was completed by tournament officials, all chips, each one of which represents a player, had been drawn by the tournament director – but there was still an empty line on the 56-line draw sheet due to a human error inputting the names.

It is understood that to preserve the integrity of the draw process, it was decided that all 40 unseeded players should be reallocated. The incorrect draw sheet was never ratified or circulated, although leaked screenshots on social media did cause some confusion.

Looking at some old videos, I was struck by how many men tucked in their tshirts into their shorts..was Agassi the first to free up his tshirt? I personally hate to tuck in, feels restrictive especially on serve...

There was a bit of a dress code in those days, remember? All white, at most ONE wrist band, no head bands (that was Borg).
I also feel it pulls down on your serve, when you tuck your shirt in.
