We hear this at this time of the year, every year. Nothing significant has changed.

Zverev has now gotten to the part of his madness where is he is now accusing tournament organizers of slowing down their courts to favor Alcarez and Sinner.

I love his "WTF" reaction

And that is why I don't like the whining.

The problem can't be solved. For Iga and Carlos, the year is too long because they already have $20 MM in the pocket on January 1st jsut from endorsements.
For the players ranked around 50, they need to play all year round to make money. Yes, they make good cash, but we forget that the average lifespan of a tennis player is less than 10 years. They need to make as much money as possible in a very short span.

I must be missing something here. The tours can design schedules however they want. The beef is making so many tournaments mandatory. So stop making them mandatory. But they can't do that because then some 1000 tournaments won't get both Sinner and Alcaraz, or either of them, and the tournaments that are less than optimally scheduled based on individual player preparations for the majors may be stuck with a 1000 champion like [insert name of choice below the Alcaraz/Sinner tier who isn't a marquee draw and who lost in R2 or R3 of the 1000 event right before it].

I really don't think the sky would fall. But the tournaments won't have it, and the tournaments basically own both tours--either literally, practically, or metaphorically.

I was just thinking as I saw Sinner crapping out of Shanghai that now he can skip it next year, no points to defend.

Daria Kasatkina is wrapping up her 2025 season early to recharge after a tough year on and off the court.

Hoping she gets what she needs in her time off. 🫶
