Czech tennis player Karolína Plíšková addressed the issue of overloaded tennis schedules, saying players today have it easier than before:

“I think it’s the same, if not better, than it used to be. I know how there used to be a lot of travel. There was the Fed Cup three times a year, which doesn’t take as much time now either. Recently, an older tennis player was telling me that right after the US Open, they used to go to the Davis Cup, which was played in five sets.”

She also criticized some of her fellow WTA players for their attitude toward the tour’s demands:

“And the girls? I feel like they’re just always complaining, but I don’t know what for. They’re also paid more than they’ve ever been paid.”

So, one point.
If the pro is serving, the point is over immediately. If they are returning, the point is over in two strokes.
Define amateur. 5.0? 5.5?

Someone willing to pay $100,000 to play one point against a professional. ;)

Also. Why 10 amateurs facing 22 pros? Shouldn't it be the other way around?
This is like: LIONS VS CHRISTIANS. 22 lions will face 22 Christians.
Man, make it 22 amateurs vs 10 lions. A bit more of a chance.

Do the 10 amateurs get to face each of the 22 pros maybe? And then the prize structure might be based on how many points you get....100,000 max per amateur contestant if they get all 22 points?

Even still, 22 itself is an odd number to choose :)

10 plus 22 = 32. It is a five rounds tournament. So the pros can get more money, because it is obvious that the 10 amateurs will not win one point.

Oh wow, yeah that makes sense. So they will probably all be out by round 1.
