Oh, how I wish tennis players would be content to be tennis players, and not have to try to prove that they are also fashion models.

I mean... tennis players get plenty of attention - that should be enough to quench anyone's appetite for attention without desperately seeking more through additional avenues.

This is the age of 'social media', though, which makes virtually everyone a very desperate attention seeker (I don't like the other, more common, term).

I'm reading rumors that Venus Williams is dating Reilly Opelka who's 16 years her junior. If true that's one unusual couple.

I think the Osaka phenomenon is going to create more attempts by tennis players to present varying looks. Andreescu's mom is famous for her wigs and that's what I thought this was at first but a closer look changed my mind. I don't know if it's a blow out or some kind of permanent straightening technique that would last for 4-6 weeks. I love a super blunt bob.

Sorry Deuce I think chasing the endorsement dollars will give us more, not less of this. Let me know when she shows up with pink, or some other color hair.

I really don’t get the criticism aimed at girls like Bianca. Like you said she’s 20, and most 20 year olds have a large social media presence, whatever their job. The nurses I know at work save lives during the day, take selfies at night! To criticise athletes for posting personal photos on Insta shows a massive ignorance on how the world works nowadays

That's true, albeit not everyone does. Plenty of athletes in their 20-ties with very limited social media presence.
