I don't get it..if he is one of the best, why part with him? It is true that Svitolina did better last year than this year ..
Unless it was his decision, of course...

It is like any other relationship.
"It's not you, it's me".

From a different part of the internet...

"They had discussed the continuation of their collaboration several times over the past months, having to conclude, eventually, that both the energy and motivation were lacking. Sluiter noted that the situation in the Ukraine over the past couple of months had added an extra amount of tension to Svitolina's life. Yet, despite these challenges, they both look back positively on their time together.

After the split, Sluiter decided to take a step back to contemplate his next challenge in the tennis world, possibly preffering a flexible constuction as opposed to a fulltime one."

Rune and Mouratoglou split again. We need a portmanteau nickname for them before they give it a go for the third time. MouRunoglou?

I don't think I'll ever get used to what I feel is maybe too private for social media, like this. We can call them Peaches and Herb.

The sad thing is that everybody and his dog could have told him that 7 years ago.
You have to let go of your dad. Not simple, but you have to.

Someone just posted the video of him saying this. If I'm Apostolos I'm already on the plane back to Greece.

I will always admire Cori Gauff for knowing it was time to let the parents go. I will also admire her parents for understanding and stepping aside. Who knows maybe Rune will mature and make his own decisions soon...

Who stopped Tsitsipas from hiring a real coach? He is a grown adult, needs to take responsibility..blasting your father in public is just not good..these things should be kept private! Maybe Badosa can help him think straight ..

Agree, agree, agree. Honestly, to me, it feels like there's something really weird is going here. Like he signed some stranglehold contract concerning all things tennis and he's lucky to get to have a girlfriend of his own choosing.

I would not criticize somebody for being unable to shake his/her father of his/her team. The psychological implications are not trivial. Who knows how demanding or even tyrannical his father is, and maybe Stefanos is not equipped to fire him as a coach because his father, precisely, never instilled that mentality.
And in some cultures, going against a parent is akin to treason.
