Saw a bit of Rybakina on YouTube..she seems ok, which is good news. osaka also hitting her stride now. Haven't seen how Swiatek is playing, we will see Saba only tomorrow. I would expect Pegula and Keys, being locals used to these conditions, to do well too ..

Svitolina is a good test for Osaka ..Svitolina is a good player but not in Osaka's class. If class prevails, Osaka should win ...it is certainly a good test of how far Osaka has come back...

So far only doubles have been officially cancelled in Miami.

Hearing that tomorrow’s OOP will be pretty much today’s OOP if Friday gets all cancelled.

Alcaraz and Zverev already told they will most probably start on Sunday.

Play has started but the forecast isn't good for a full schedule such as it is.

They will always try and get play started because they don't want to refund tickets. I learned that the hard way at a US Open a few years back.

Alexandrova is playing really well, returning serve very well, can she beat Pavly next? Pavs should do well given the slow surface but Alexandrova is really on fire now. intriguing matchup for sure.

Something is really off with Rublev these days...beaten by Machac...he is too predictable, maybe..

I keep hearing that the sunshine double is sooo hard to do, proof offered is that only a couple of people, like Vika have done it. But the real reason is the Williams sisters boycotted IW for many years because of racial jibes aimed at them and their father..if you don't play, you can't win. And in this case I don't blame the W sisters..can you imagine a 17 year old girl having to deal with such things?

AI says Swiatek has a 93% chance against Giorgi..that is a bit high..Giorgi is fearless and hard-hitting, just the kind of player who can trouble Iga...would make it more like 65-35...
