In other news, actor Polly Holliday has passed away. She was best known for her "Mel, kiss my grits!" line in the 1970s sitcom, Alice. She was 88.

About Charlie Kirk, there are three key differences (compared to similar acts) here. First, this was a precision shot from a distance. Second, it appears to be a single shot with no attempt to harm anyone else, including self. This was designed to kill one person only. Third, this person had no intention of being caught. All other recent violence against other political figures had one or two of these aspects--but not all three. It's worth noting.

NEW: Shame on the Wall Street Journal for moving forward without details about their single-source reporting on this. The ATF is now saying the "internal law enforcement memo" about "transgender and anti-fascist ideologies" has NOT been verified and DOES NOT match their information.

And, of course, that makes perfect sense.
"Oh, let me shoot a public figure and escape and not get caught, but I am going to use ONE SPECIAL BULLET which I am going to engrave with my philosophy".
As opposed to sending a manifesto to the press.

Yep, totally in line with the rest of this murder.

Well, I take it back. Why does someone successfully flee the scene and then confess the crime to relatives?

Because turns out he was a regular angry young man with a gun, not any kind of professional.

Jane Goodall was one of the people I admired in this world. She started the change in how animals were viewed by the outside world and didn't try to "humanize" them. May she Rest in Peace.

If you can get Britbox and watch this woman work. This, along with Derry Girls, is one of the best shows to come out of Great Britain. What will Sheridan do now?

One of the few actresses that could really straddle comedy and drama with perfect ease.
Good bye, Annie Hall.
