In a recently documentary it became painfully clear how he constantly and relentlessly keeps getting in his own way inside his head space. Like, seriously negative, counterproductive. You quickly get to the point where you think he needs a shrink and then they show him talking to his therapist, I mean...
So, coming back to this a little quicker than expected... After his meltdown in Rome last week, Griekspoor has also parted ways with coach Dennis Sporrel. Apparently he's decided to go at it alone up to and including Wimbledon.

Djokovic and Murray split after six months

I think that was a goof partnership, as friends. But, what could have Andy teach Novak? How to hit a backhand? A FH? Everything that Andy could do, Nivak could do better. And way better.
This was not even like Goran. Goran served better than Novak, so there was something there. Andy simply had nothing to teach him. Not even the mental side.
Andy will become a good coach somewhere. For somebody else.

Am I the only one who thought that this was just a vanity project for the two of them and totally expected this announcement?

No, you're not. Murray is not a real coach, at least not yet.

But it was nice to see Andy being the one who got barked at for a change. A few times that I saw. That was nice.

Week before a slam. Not much to write about in tennis, so, time to let the AI come up with something.

He doesn't have to hire any new coach. He needs to get rid of only one person in his entourage.
