2022 US OPEN. The RB&W Lounge (the LL)

Can you beat the draw? Just one measly pick a day...

Stupid Kyrgios (who I already used) just had to beat Medvedev to screw everything up

Oh, I am surprised! Of all people that I would say would have stayed away from that quarter, YOU, Mr. I-HAVE-200-MEDALS-AND-COUNTING, would have been the one I would have bet the most.
There was no way I was even touching either player before their meet.
Now, I did take Daniil in predictions because I had to pick somebody and I felt that over 5 sets, Daniil could learn how to tame Kyrgios. Totally backfired on me and almost everybody else, but I felt that was a 51/49 % match. Tragically wrong, of course.

Uhm, Dry's lawyers are telling us not to that again, and as soon as he recovers from that, well, let's say he is not responding too well, they will try to arrange a compromise.
But we still have these, if you sign the release agreement:

One in each arm. They mix in one ventricle (we don't know which one).
My previous attorneys have been summarily sacked. Bring back the Absolut IVika drip. Or I shall sue via the new attorneys.

Oh, you are alive!
I mean, you were alive. Now you are... never mind.
Would you rather we try this?

Disappointment aside... And please forgive me for bragging a bit. But even though I am out and have won SPs before, this feels like the best SP I've ever played (on the women's side). All of my Day 1 - Day 5 picks had since lost going into tonight, and I was sitting in a fairly pretty position. I've never done that well before at picking players who would win a match and then lose their next (except for Kudermetova, who lost 2 matches later).

So that's a small victory.

Someone take this and beat the draw! I'll be pulling for you!

And can we please change the title of this thread from 2002 to 2022? It's absolutely killing the editor in me. I only bring it up now because I'm bitter. Gracias! :)

I refused to have any Italian wine or aperitif after that crap.
I have to go to the supermarket, and then will decide what to drink.
Gotta get a dartboard and print out Matteo's ugly mutt. Be right back.

Hi all - just seeing if there's any room left. I'll need to reserve a table. I'm still kicking on both sides, but while I can make both finals I will have run out of picks and cannot beat either draw.

What's on tap?

Wait a second! If ...

Karen beats Nick, then if

*I correctly pick the winner of Rublev/Tiafoe on Wednesday
*I correctly pick Karen over Ruud on Friday and Alcaraz beats the Rublev/Tiafoe winner
*I correctly pick Alcaraz to win over Karen on Sunday

Why, then, I beat the ATP draw and Bob's Your Uncle.

But don't cancel my reservation ...

That's not the kind of posts that earns you any sympathy around here, Peter...
We'll get you your table, but a round to the house will be welcomed.
