Sarcasm? :)

Tiafoe-Nadal? I think it will fall flat but I'll check it out.

Collins-Sabalenka is a popcorn match I have been waiting for! Also looking forward to watching Neimeier, and Iga's form through a full match. I haven't seen her play a full match yet. All of the women's matches look good to me.

You have truly different perspectives. The #19 seed beats the #6 seed and that is "nothing" unexpected to you?
If we were ever to meet in person we would need like A LOT of wine. A LOT (or I would, I do not know your alcohol status). It would be hours of conversation.

Straightforward win by Rublev. I felt it would be more competitive.

It's hard for Norrie to be competitive when he spends a good stretch of the match landing his backhands in New Jersey.

Rublev got the second life after escaping Shapovalov. I wonder if the same effect will work with Sabalenka.

I thought the Rublev-Shapovalov match was the best of the tournament. Too many people making assumptions about that match based on their form entering the U.S. Open. Rublev is one-dimensional and never has played his best at the slams, but if he ever plays one of these events like he has 500-level tournaments in the past, he is capable of beating anyone. I'm not predicting it will happen here, but it might.

Not calling it, but I give it a non zero chance. In my opinion Iga has not been playing well. Of course it can only happen if Niemeier herself plays her A game.

Pegula way too steady for Petra. Sometimes rankings do indicate something...

Pegula is incredibly underrated. There was no way a one-dimensional ball basher like Kvitova was going to hit through her.

Pegula would have won the Canadian Open if Halep had not made a dramatic adjustment after getting clobbered in the first set of their semifinal and started hitting her high balls, which she could not handle. (Halep has more variety than people think). It is so nice to see a player who hits under control instead of mindlessly going for winners from anywhere on the court.

But they would not indicate a 3&2. That looks very well for Jessica.

Niemeier is up 5-2 over Iga first set and is serving for it.
