Sharapova in the booth right now during the Jaeur-Garcia match - nice things to say about Serena - apparently they talked at the MET Gala last year about Serena getting back out on court - praising the games of both players - talking about being a mom.

Garcia could not be any more different than she was in the quarterfinals. She looks absolutely overwhelmed.

This is not a prediction. But I'm curious... When was the last time we had two first-time major winners at the same major? I'm pretty sure it has been a while.

The stubborn refusal to just not say African is truly astounding. And offensive. Amanda Coetzer never made it to a GS final, and she's the player whose records Jabeur has been breaking so who the heck is the female player that made them go North African here? I seriously can't think of a single possibility and I'm pretty sure that's because there are no other Africans to reach the women's final, so there was zero need for that.

He didn't do this for the first set so I guess he's an Iga stan...

Sabalenka disappeared completely for the set.
She is like a dragster: one speed, just shift gears till maximum speed. A lot of times, spin out of control.
I wonder how do you coach players like that.
