Only 11 of us candidates decide to practice our SP futility.

And even after that freebie for day one, we may still be in deep trouble. Like, instantly.

My work here might be quick and easy

I was mostly serious when I said that the first two days here and in Miami are the two hardest picks of the year.

Oh well, at least we can say we tied for 7th at worst!

I didn't know we still did these practice ones. But I was bitter about that Miami Open win that I got was nowhere in my stats and no medal cause it was all I had at that point. It was very unsatisfying. I can't remember who, but a longtime member told me years later when I mentioned it that they added it to their signature line because everyone was going to know they won an SP at some point. So if you get to that point of bitterness like some of us other practice winners have, definitely give that signature line recognition some thought.

I do think the practice pools were always announced as non medal though? I've won at least a couple, I think one time I had 3-4 threads with my name on them

Absolutely. I always knew I wouldn't get a medal. I just didn't know that overtime after losing SP after SP that I'd be more and more frustrated and eventually be like, ugh, I did win that Miami SP that one time though.

Great. So far, I am the only person to have made it past Day 2 on the WTA side, and the only person out on Day 2 on the ATP side.
