I hope someone got a pic of Stef's mother talking to him from the stands after he dropped the first set 5-7.

I think to the people running things it's more important to get the men's match played than the women's. After all Holger has been tucked in and is probably sound asleep while these two are slogging it out. It'll be interesting to see what happens with the women's matches.

I saw yesterday that SF matches were scheduled simultaneously. But then they changed, which is a pity. Now whoever wins between ST-DM will be at severe disadvantage

It was not a brutal match, and let's see if they move the WTA final for tomorrow, pushing the ATP final a for a bit later.
It would be a way of doing it.

What happened to Kalinina?
What a lousy day of tennis for the organizers.

It is worth noting that out of 6 big titles this year Swiatek did not win any, while Sabalenka and Rybakina each won 2.

Finalist at the Aussie and winner of IW. And she has now reached the finals of a major clay court event.
I have to change my tune and say her foot work is deceptive.
Yes, everything about her is deceptive ..including her easy power..

Rybakina has been quite lucky in these championships.. her opponents have been injured, one after the other. I saw Kalinina was limping even at 3-2 in the first set, very sad.
of course, not Rybakina's fault but we must not take these matches too seriously, as a pointer to the French.

Her win over Vondrousova was excellent, though..
I still would not make her better than third favorite at RG
