Even when I try to be funny, I can't:

Novak Djokovic’s Iron Man-like device that ‘turns body heat into light’

As always, with all these "devices" and "sciences", they inevitably talk about "balancing your energies". And it is made of "nano-crystals".
It will sell like hot cakes.

There goes Sinner..clearly not optimised for clay, or any slow surface...his game will work better at W and USO...

Because many have said that Alcaraz is a lock to win this one, you can also choose players that may be the upset. You get 6 votes, and you can spread them, with a maximum of three votes to a single player. For example.
Alcaraz 3
Medvedev 2
Novak 1

That way you spread your votes. Or you can have only two players, each one with 3 votes.
Hope it is clear.
why limit it to max of 3? I would have given 4 to Alcaraz and 2 to Novak, 0 to the rest...doesnt change the calculation, i dont think..?
but I do like the idea of letting us split/spread the votes..

looking at the poll, interesting that Sinner and Fritz have support, but not Tsitsipas and Rublev.. these last 2 have clearly fallen in our estimation lately!

No reason whatsoever. I just felt that this way people would spread their votes in the 3-2-1 fashion, although 3-3 is also possible.

I actually give Musetti a bit of a chance. A BIT.
Tsitsipas could fly to Athens and spend the weekend there.
Varillas: he has played 5 matches at grand slams. All have gone 5 sets. That streak ends miserably here.
Kjachanov has become a reliable player to go deep at slams. That streak continues.

Since Lucho Horna, who (BTW) beat Roger here, in 1R, in 2004.

I am finally free to watch tennis after a week of nonstop work.

On the bottom half of the draw, I would not count out Etcheverry from making the final. I knew nothing about him until this clay season, but he has been playing really, really well. My pick before the tournament was Rune and I'll stick with him, but if he gets to the quarterfinal against Ruud, that will be a very emotional, draining match and he might come out flat in the semis.

On the top half, I favor Alcaraz over Djokovic in their inevitable semi, but since I've seen next to nothing of either of them so far, I don't really have a good feel for it. When they played in Madrid last year, Alcaraz won almost every extended point. Djokovic will have to serve extremely well when they play.

Rune looking in trouble right now, and Etcheverry is the popular pick in the SP today. But, let's remember, he is the unseeded player in that match. i say he wins, but... Nishioka never quits one single point.

Nishioka should have lost in straight sets the last round and won only because Seyboth Wild wasn't fit. At least that's what I assumed from the scoreline. Did not see any of the match. No doubt he is incredibly tenacious, but he will need to up his game significantly. Possible, but not likely in my estimation.
