Clara Tauson (15 victims) STANK TMQ will readily admit that it was quite entertaining to watch the bandwagon careen and swerve until it deposited you into the afterworld like lemmings into a woodchipper. However, by Day 6 we should have weeded out the players that pick against a player just because you never heard of her, which I can definitely divine with my all-seeing inner eye. Zero DANK points awarded.

Bianca Andreescu (5 victims) STANK Yes, she should have won this match and choosing her was not in itself a terrible decision. However, TMQ cannot in good conscience award any DANK points to that scoreline.

Anastasia Potapova (2 victims) DANK Our only rap groupie of the day, Potapova came in hot after a good clay season, but ran into a former top 10 player returning to form. Perhaps the smoke made her a little dizzy.

Day 9 is here! Someone is taking a shot at the crown today, which could happen with a Swiatek win (likely) and a Gauff loss (possible, but she won 0 & 2 in their only other meeting last year in Madrid)

Sadly, that's not going to happen. I need Haddad Maia to upset Jabeur tomorrow to stay alive. This is where Rybakina's withdrawal may come back to bite me, since if I had known of that ahead of time, I would have saved Jabeur for this round. Then again, I might have a picked a different player that day who ending up losing.

Good tournament y'all! I talked myself into thinking Pavs was the favorite against Muchova but I might not have made that pick if I still had Muchova available.
