by GlennHarman I have so outlived my usual stay in this pool. But I was especially worried to see that I’m the only one taking Fritz today. I guess I should take some solace from the fact that it might only be thus because all but one of the rest of you had already used him. I was thinking it might be because you all know something about that match-up that I don’t know…that is still possible. Well, good luck to all of us. We’re going to need it. GH

by kknudsen Well done everyone!

by ponchi101 All the REALLY smart people that knew about Cam Norrie!!! Well done

I was comfortable going with Fritz earlier because I thought he would only get as far as Tsitsipas. That is the match that should be happening tonight. I would have picked Fritz if I still had the option.

by GlennHarman I might be done now…I am picking Shelton mostly because I have used Tiafoe. I think Shelton has a chance, but this is major mail-biting time. GH

I like your chances, Glenn. Doesn't mean it will work out, but you've got a good hit here. Good luck!

by dave g I am going to be busy today (Day 9). So, I probably won't be able to post the Pick Summary until about 8:00 p.m. US eastern time.

by paulfmcintyre Zverev drove a stake thru my survivor pool heart. In order to have a path to the final, I had to pick from that match even though was 50:50... RIP but still alive on women's side!

by ponchi101 You did really well, so no issues there

Congratulations people on having all of you survive!

by GlennHarman I’m this far and have to pick between Rublev and Medvedev….really? It’s been great fun even if this is curtains. GH

by janebowles Shelton was a great pick…I am running out of choices quick…

by GlennHarman Jane, that could work to your advantage today. GH

by janebowles Yeah, I’m not rooting for Medvedev…

Yes it was. I wish that I made it too. When I saw you picked Djokovic, I thought my best chance was to essentialy play for a tie. Really, really tough call though.

by GlennHarman So I guess I won this thing. I would now like to admit that I didn’t see even one second of this tournament. The dog and I have been camping this whole tournament in the wilds of Newfoundland. But I found out how to find WiFi, such that I was able to make picks. Also, when the SF match between Djokovic and Shelton was about 2 hours old, I got to the WiFi point and “watched” the scores go by for most of the 3rd set. I greatly appreciate those of you who run these contests. I am NOT at all used to success, so this is an unusual event for me. And for those of you who enjoy YCWJ, I wouldn’t see this as any indication that I’m on the verge of doing well there. I seem even more inept at that one, though this time I did move up from dead last to 5th from last in YCWJ. GH

by GlennHarman By the way, I won’t be back on WiFi tonight. But I’ll check tomorrow so that I can make a finals pick if Alcaraz wins his semi. I still have him to use. GH

by ponchi101 Dave will make it official, and you can beat the draw. So, congrats so far, and I hope you do beat the draw.

by dave g Semi-final pick summary:

Shelton 2
Djokovic 1

GlennHarmon is our US Open ATP Survivor Draw Pool winner. However, he still gets to make a pick for the final match to see if he can beat the draw!!!

by ptmcmahon Well… IF Alcaraz wins that is ;)
