The Iga Swiatek is Washed Up Thread

Swiatek held the #1 ranking for 75 consecutive weeks, but not any longer. Will she get back to #1, or is her time at the top done? There's really only her and Sabalenka that are challenging for #1 so it certainly seems possible, but I wonder how much damage the loss to Ostapenko did as I've never seen her give up in a match as she did in the early part of the 3rd set tonight.

Before the end of the year, or does Sabalenka hold #1 until at least the Australian Open?

She will get back. I don't think Aryna has the game to be so consistent as to get a stranglehold on that position.

Agree. But who knows when she gets there, maybe she loosens up. She doesn’t seem to be injured much, which is good - and kind of surprising given how physical her game is.

Iga is too good, too ruthless, too complete not to get it back. She didn’t win Guadalajara or tour finals last year or do that well in the Aussie - she can make up ground before IW and Miami.
