It shouldn't be too tough if your serve is a weapon. But hardly any woman has one.

And I am sorry. Calling the physio now is cheap.
Not the physio - just the trainer - those feet needed some work.

That was the worst set of tennis Gauff has played since last summer, but somehow Kostyuk managed to play even worse.

Will Kostyuk come back out firing or implode in the second set?

I like Kostyuk. But that was one of the most pathetic sets of tennis I have seen in a long time.

And then Gauff plays a real stinker of a first game to break herself.

She played some gorgeous points. But- she was making way too many errors even getting to 5-1 up. Then- she decided to play, somehow, more pathetically than Coco.

They are showing the stats.
Kostyuk lost a set where she was leading 5-1, and her opponent had a 5-24 W/UE count. A truly WTF moment in tennis.

AND then Kostyuk, of course, returned the favor.

In addition to the UFEs, Coco's shot selection has been pretty dismal today.

"Go to her forehand", says Kostyuk's coach. An obvious tactic against the US Open champ.

The way she is playing today, Coco won't stand a chance against Sabalenka. .except for the mental fortitude she has displayed..?
