Selfishly posting this. Any TAT'ers venturing to the "north" in Midland, MI to watch this?
They listed 23 accepted entries so far (21 regular plus 2 wildcards )

7 of the 21 are currently in the top 101 with Katie Volynets being the lowest. Appears that 20 of the 21 are currently in the top 161.

Re: WTA 125 - Dow Tennis Classic 11/3 - 11/10
Always fun. Swung by after a meeting - FREE during the day on the weekdays. Couldn't get much closer - literally stood next to Tikhonova's coach while they discussed prep for her match. Didn't know who she was but was entertaining.
McNally looked like me playing a 4.0 during her first match. Just another level (yes she lost her second round match).
Lepchenko played Stakusic. Lepchenko won the first set. Stakusic the 2nd. Stakusic went up 5-1 during the 3rd and started to crack. She "goes to" her box (okay the one person sitting on a chair that I presume was her coach) a lot for moral support. He up and left to talk to Zhao's coach (countrywoman who was next on court). She got broken and he started to walk back over. She angrily pointed at him and his stuff and dismissed him. It was something probably wouldn't see at a larger event. She continued to crack and lost in 3rd set TB.
Anyway can't get any of the good pictures small enough to post lol

Not sure of the rationale but they played three matches yesterday - both semi's and doubles final.
Singles final was today. Marino beat Parks in under an hour.
That would be tough to pay for and see so little tennis.

I got to watch some of the matches here. It was my first time seeing this event and I thought that for the level - WTA 125-the tennis was decent.
Most of the matches were competitive and the fans deserved a better final.

They tend to get some good players for the level (only been a 125 for a few years now). I read that they do a great job taking care of the players and that is why many come back year after year

We went to this event for a few years in a row....but, it has been quite a while since we have been to Midland. Always enjoyed the tournament when we went. The tournament used to start at the beginning of the year. We hope to go back at some point.

Good to hear!
Selfishly I preferred when it was in February - for whatever reason I tend to have more difficulty working it in to my schedule when this time of year.
