I thought I was losing it for a minute because last I read Raducanu had a Qualie Wild Card here. Now she's in the main draw.

There are a lot of theories about what could have happened but nothing definitive from the WTA.
One of the been around forever tennisheads reported that Sonobe had a main draw WC. She is an IMG player.

Now Sonobe is in the Qualies and Raducanu, also an IMG player, is in the main draw. The WTA makes it impossible to get entry lists for some reason.

The Brits are already complaining about her "nightmare" draw.

Her quarter looks quite reasonable - good players there (as in all 4) but no prohibitive favorites.

Maybe not such a nightmare if she could get some good training blocks with a coach, but no one seems good enough. Gives her a bit of princess vibe.
