Oploskoffie Points were tallied and checked, and the result is the wide, very wide range of scores we have after week 1!

Lots of us on different strategies, so week 2 could seriously shake up the standings and perspectives going into week 3, either because of trades OR the lack of need to make them!
As per tradition, I've split us up into different categories and added some song titles to each. This time, player's last names and how far they got in week 1's tournaments was the determining factor

by jazzyg I count myself with 200 points:
Zverev 45
Keys 45
Rybakina 25
Alexandrova 25
Raducano 25
Andreescu 15
Hurkacz 7
Halys 7
Samsonova 2
Shapovalov 2
Dhumhur 2
I felt like this happened both in my favor and against me the past two years, though, so I must be miscounting how the points are calculated.

My bad! We'd actually already spotted that during checking (well, ponchi did) but I forgot to tick a certain box. I'll get the updated overview uploaded shortly!

Annnnnd it's there

by jazzyg Thanks.
You guys do a terrific job on all of the contests.

Oploskoffie So, to the week 2 and updated overall scores we go. And, as expected, there was a LOT of movement with 12 of the 15 participants moving in one of two predictable directions!
But first the week 2 results. The best score of the week of 407 points belongs to
ashkor87 who, as ponchi had mentioned, had Bublik, Alcaraz AND Vondrousova on his team

For a
non-Wimbledon week, a score over 400 points is quite the achievement - last year's max. was 371.
Not too far behind we find
jatagen with a very healthy 376 points and the third-best score for week 2 belongs to
New England Nitemare with 341.
Week 3 promises more movement, with several of the lower week 2 scorers still having, amongst others, Fritz on their team. There's also some different approaches to Bad Homburg in play, with a few Pegula's and a couple of Swiatek's. Oddly, nobody picked Tomic as a wildcard

Best of luck, once again, to us all!
As for the scores: this week's categories each have their very own best-selling single by a British band, artist or cultural phenomenon from the 2000's

by ashkor87 Of course Alcaraz did what was expected but Vondrousova and Bublik!!
Am going to call her wonderousova now
by FredX Looks like a lot of people had Bublik (though not me!), but Vondrousova was definitely an inspired pick.
by ashkor87 I dont see that.. A young, recent wimbledon champion as an E player?! No - brainer!

Oploskoffie With all finals having been completed on Saturday, week three has come to an end and for those who had Fritz AND Pegula on their team it was obviously a *nice* week from a scoring perspective!
The main beneficiary of having the aforementioned players on board was
patrick who has leapt up the rankings by six places as a result

We can easily spot the other two who had the same productive pair on their teams, with
tenedab (who moves up three spots into the lead) and
wolfy333 (who moves up four spots) the only other contestants to break the 200 points mark this week. The fourth major mover is
FredX who is now in third, having moved up four places. Very well done and good luck to all of us going into Wimbledon!
Also: don't forget to make any and all final trades, should you want or need to do so
