Much as I love Anisimova, I don't give her more than 20% chance today ..she doesn't have a big enough serve and shots to rock Swiatek...I hope I am wrong but I don't think so ..

Big enough to beat Sabalenka. I believe Anisimova's return of serve is the fastest. Iga's gotten blasted off courts by big hitters, Keys, Osto a couple times, Collins.

The Cash/Glasspool story is a nice one. At least given what little I know about either of them. Apparently Pel was almost defaulted at some point during the match for hitting a ball toward a ballkid? Something like that? I missed it.

Her shots are plenty big. I thought that movement was always her weakness

That first set was dismal.

That moment when you come home a little late but still expect to see the end of the first set but then it's this...

When she lost her first serve, I said "That's it, match over".
I did not know I was not joking. What a sad match.

From "It is her weakest surface" to winning Wimbledon. Unbelievable.

I hope Amanda can find a little solace in the $2 million she won.

Zvereva did manage to put that behind her and even won against Graf in a Grand Slam. But it took 10 years and 17 more losses...

Zvereva had a solid career as a doubles specialist. But her promising career as a singles players was stopped there and then.

So much for all the Iga doubters. Her entire year has just finished turning around. That being said, Amanda played a shadow of the way she did against Sabalenka - I didn't think she would win, but certainly no one foresaw this total collapse. She has the shots - its keeping her head together.
