Well, she can't lose alone, unfortunately!

Wonder what's with the men's side today and their excessive durations that upend the schedules?

We start off with three 11am 4-setters:
- Rublev/Boyer (Grandstand): 1:58pm ending
- Wong/Walton (Court 10): 2:01pm ending
- Shapovalov/Royer (Court 7): 2:39pm ending (two tiebreaks!)

Then due to back-to-back-to-back 5-setters, we are able to have night sessions in three courts:
- Riedi/Cerundolo (Court 5): 12:35pm to 4:12pm, next match didn't start until 4:30pm
- Khachanov/Majchrzak (Court 11): 12:20pm to 4:55pm, last match didn't start until 5:15pm (2-0 comeback too!)
- Brooksby/Cobolli (Stadium 17): 1:05pm to 5:38pm, next match didn't start until 6pm

Over on the women's side, only 4 matches so far are 3-setters.

These two women are distraught! I’ve never seen Gauff so emotional on court before. Grim stuff.

While I think too much was made of Coco’s double faults in the first round, her serve has absolutely been a factor tonight. Fortunately for her Vekic is serving even worse than she is.

ETA: When Vekic took an MTO, Coco casually cranked in 10 straight first serves, and then double faulted on the first point of the tiebreak.

For sure.

Someone also made the point that allowing on court coaching can be more stressful for a player because the player can't take the mental deep breath they need sometimes to calm themselves and focus during a match.

Anisimova finding the court too quick..not setting up in time, specially on forehand. I don't expect her to do much here
