This week, everyone is eliminated from YEC qualifying contention except Madison Keys, Mirra Andreeva, Jasmine Paolini, and Elena Rybakina. Currently Rybakina is on the outside looking in, which may be moot if Keys doesn't play.

I love Rybakina but hope she doesnt make it - there has to be some price for all her foolish nonsense with her coach! The court is pretty fast too, compared with the ones in China - as Sabalenka herself remarked last year.. Coco should win again.. Rybakina would have a good shot if she makes it.
But, as I said, I am boycotting this event, it is a travesty to hold it in Saudi.

I wonder what people would say if an ATP player would decide to have a relationship with an obvious gold digger. Would we be so judgmental?

We know it wasn't. But as I do not know what kind of relationship they are in, because I am not privy to such private information, I used that euphemism.
My point stands. Judging a grown up woman on her choice of partner is a double standard. Because when Grigor was dating that porn star nobody came to "his rescue". We assumed (rightly) that he was a grown man, capable of making his own decisions.
You either really believe in a woman's rights to run her own life, even if that means self destruction, or you don't. I choose to do so.

Gold digging and abuse are not equivalent, and I think he's her boyfriend more than a business associate, but I do agree she shouldn't be punished for an unrelated bad decision. I'm sure she's paying enough as it is.

Meanwhile, Andreeva bowed out early, giving Rybakina the opening she needs.
