getting our medals back
Hey gang.
I know we are all a bunch of grown ups, people that really make very little about winning (or not) a fictitious little medal. It really means very little, and we understand that it is a fun thing but something that brings very little to the meaning of our lives.
In short, those little shiny medals are virtually useless, and they hold as much importance to us as the menial things in our world.
Things like... breathing. Eating. Sleeping.
Who am I kidding? Most people went to TAT1.0 solely for the SP's and winning one of those things was crucial for our mental well being.
So. I can award medals again. And I will do that on an honor basis. By that I mean, just tell me what you won, and I will trust you. Now, do not go "I won a calendar slam in 2009", thinking I was not in TAT1.0 then (I was). That will be suspect. But if you want your medals back, just do the following:
1. QUICK replay to this post. NO smilies.
2. Use this convention: AO = Aussie, RG = Roland Garros, W = You know, USO = you also know, YCWJ = Wooden Spoon. And then, just list how many you have. Put them in the order of the slams (how they get played every year, and DO NOT GO FUNNY AND USE THE 2020 ORDER). For example, 1 W + 1RG + 2USO + 1YCWJ =
RG/W/USO/USO/YCWJ
Put YCWJ last.
Post no more in your reply. Just for starters. We will later on see if we get some other medals back.
The system WILL NOT put 2 medals of the USO if you won twice. It will display ONE medal which, when hovered over, will say how many times you have won.
For future medals, we will be able to assign them per year.
See my example below

Re: getting our medals back
So these are just for suicide pool wins then? I don't have any of those. All my medals are bracket prediction and fantasy contests like Around the World.

Alright. Give us a little time to go through SP's and YCWJ, and then we can do the others. I will post when readytexasniteowl wrote: ↑Fri Dec 11, 2020 4:21 pm So these are just for suicide pool wins then? I don't have any of those. I don't know if this will help, but we have a complete listing of medals over on 1.0 here: http://www.talkabouttennis.com/forum/awards.php
Thank you, Ponchi.

Re: getting our medals back
Will be of great use when new/old TAT'ers come in. Right now, with the few numbers we have, that are still manageable, I will attempt this honor system.Kirkus wrote: ↑Fri Dec 11, 2020 4:37 pm I don't know if this will help, but we have a complete listing of medals over on 1.0 here: http://www.talkabouttennis.com/forum/awards.php

Woody.
You posted your W medal here. I had to restore the forum so your post got lost. Sorry about that. But your medal has been restored too.

Re: getting our medals back
I always performed better in the Olympics. Didn't realize until now that AO is the only suicide pool I've ever won.

Re: getting our medals back. OTHER THAN SP's
I have loaded all the other icons for awards from TAT1.0.
So, format:
# and contest you won.
For example:
Two times winner of a Fantasy tennis: 2FT
3 times Third place fantasy tennis: 3/3FT
Separate by commas.
Will do my best

4/2FT, 2/3FT, 2BPC, PC
So, that is 4 times I've been 2nd in a Fantasy tourney and 2 times I've been 3rd.
I've won 2 Bracket Prediction Challenges...BPC?
I've won a Prediction Contest (PC) once.
