I can't recall seeing a 6:30 start before? Did this happen last year?

They have to start taking in consideration Climate Change at slams.
You want to start the year big? Start at Miami, move to IG. Both are playable in January, especially now.
Then, in feb, move to Australia. Play the Aussie in late February, when it is no longer scorching.

February can be as equally hot in Melbourne. March/April it really cools down.
Moving the AusOpen comes up from time to time from people overseas, but I cannot ever see it moving. The school year stars at the end of next week, and by having it in January they get the ball kids, volunteers and workers. Attendance is well above the other slams, big part due to the families, teenagers and other spectators who can attend in January.

Re: '26 Aus Open Day 7 OoP & Discussion
Two years ago, I identified Darderi as a player who could make a huge breakthrough after watching him on multiple surfaces. But right after I made that determination, he stopped playing well on anything every time I watched him.
Have not seen him at all this week, but he just beat Khachanov to reach the fourth round. Maybe I was right when I thought I was wrong.

And just with that, I am sure Stan secured his contract with Yonex for many years after his retirement. Smart. And funny.
