I've had it the times I've won fantasy too. He manages to avoid some of the higher scores in the weeks where his team isn't firing on all cylinders. Next week he plays me when one of my best, most reliable and highest scoring players will be out with an injury sustained over the weekend. Considerably less likely I'll be as competitive without him. So Brian's got a great team, but the stars also appear to be aligning for him this year.
Yes, my team has been very good this year so far. Luck definitely plays a part ALWAYS in fantasy. The bye weeks are always tricky as well . Plus no team clicks on all cylinders every week. A few years back I went 14-0 in the regular season; everybody in the elague was giving me the title, and my team crapped out in the finals to a 7-7 team. In another league last year in I won the title from the #4 seed at 8-6. So I've been on both sides of it. I'm just hoping my team stays healthy and keeps on truckin'.

Yeah been there. I've been both the team that is clicking on all cylinders and somehow, some way falls apart in the playoffs and the team that barely makes it into that championship bracket, and goes on a run to win it all. You can never tell how it's going to go especially in the NFL with the injuries that can occur, so ride the hot hand while you can and hope it lasts thru the final week of fantasy.

My possible sob story for the year ... :) ... in the league I run I am outscoring the top 3 teams in the league... and may miss playoffs depending on how my opponents players tonight do - Yahoo is projecting a 10 point win for my opponent.

And what will have killed me - last week I tied the last place team, so I'll finish 1/2 game behind a couple teams I outscored if I miss.

Fantasy's a cruel game!

I think I can't make the playoffs either. I COULD tie for the best fourth record at 7-8, but the H2H's will kill me.
I will blame JazzNu and her mandate to stop me from winning. All her fault, all her fault! ;)

Well, the season comes to an end this weekend.
Not that it was not over, but Nitemare will win the regular season, with Wildcats having a good shot for second. Nitemare has a total of 2,648 points, which is more than 400 points over the second highest scorer (me). That is how incredible his team has been.
The Dust Devils and I go against each other for fourth place this week. The Devils are at 7-7, I am at 6-8, but I have the H2H advantage. I makes no difference if I lose (of course) but If I win I am in at 4.
Hard to see WIldcats dropping out of 2nd and BLM should keep third. They are both projected to win.

This league is actually a week later than most because of the only 4 playoff spots. All 3 of my leagues finished regular season last night.

Literally anything is possible for this weekend, so I wouldn't rule anyone out at all. Think you're fielding a healthy team? Wait a few days, some of your starters may test positive between now and their game at the rate we're going. Wide open as long as you have a mathematical chance of making the playoffs (or losing to miss them).

Agree. I am posting my KC/LAC pick now because I am waiting for the final tally of COVID-DOWN players before kickoff. Posting now, but checking later.
And I have to look at KC as I have T. Hill in my team, and if he can't play (no indication of anything like that, but just in case) I will have to replace with... somebody.

I know I am supposed to run the FF site, but does anybody know how to place a player in RESERVE? T. Hill just came down with Omicron.

Go to 'My Team' select a player that you want to substitute & move him to Hill's position & then hit 'submit'.

Even if you didn't advance to the playoffs, you still got a season win!
