"Welcome to Day 1 of the WTA Practice Suicide Pool in Miami. According to the WTA site, it looks like these 12 main draw matches, from both the top & bottom halves of the draw, kickoff the WTA tournament."

The matches for Day 1 appear to be most, but not all, of the matches that don't include qualifiers. However, there are several matches without qualifiers that aren't listed. It is possible that those round 1 matches without qualifiers that are not listed include withdrawals and lucky losers, but we won't find out for a while. I suspect that same thing will happen with the ATP matches.

This will be made worse by the fact that my desktop is dying, and I have to use my laptop. The reason this is a problem is that with my desktop, I can see the draws and the previous days results on https://www.livescore.com/en/tennis/ , but I can't see them on my laptop. This means that I might not know who is playing until the "order of play" comes out. Thankfully, with Miami, the order will probably come out before I go to bed.

We will dutifully blow our brains up very shortly, and in packs, to make you job easy. I, personally, don't expect to be around by Friday in the WTA, and a prompt "stepped on a landmine" scenario on the first day of the ATP is expected.

Ah, the sweet flavor of having lost in the practice pools ON THE FIRST DAY of both, in the men's side. That guarantees that I will lose, at worst, on the SECOND DAY of the real RG pool.
