So, Djokovic has to go RAFA/CARLITOS before beating Stefanos. But before meeting Rafa, it is a cake walk.
Rafa has to deal also with FAA. Very difficult.

I’m going for Djokovic based on the strength of his play in Rome, and the form of his win over Rafa last year still fresh in my mind. I’d give Alcaraz a slightly better shot at the title than Rafa due to the foot, but it’s so incredibly close between the three of them.

Djokovic, Nadal and Alcaraz all in the same half. Yikes. Good news for Tsitsipas, who's in the other half.

RG website's story on the draw breakdown says "Djokovic and Nadal share the same half with sixth-seeded Carlos Alcaraz and third-seeded Carlos Alcaraz." Haha, it does feel like Alcaraz is everywhere. Funny mistake. Meant third-seeded Zverev.

Shapo-Rune R1.
Nice opportunity for Kecmanovic, with Medvedev in R3.

I can't recall a time in which a draw was so criticized by so many in such short time.
So maybe Brad's idea could be ok. Sure, 5-8 at random, but 5-6 can't be in the same half, as neither can 7-8. That sounds like a reasonable compromise.

I think it's all a bit prisoner of the moment. If a change is made soon based on being unhappy with this one draw, I can see the new approach getting called into question soon after as a new problem presents itself.

Tsitsipas should get to the final. But I feel like he has it in him to mess this up.

Even with this draw Tsitsipas has to prove that he can think his way through (maybe) seven five set matches without Papa holding his hand along the way.

I phrased it badly. Apostolos will be there and he will be holding his sons hand as much as he will is allowed. Stef can't think his way through a five set match let alone potentially 7 of them on his own. If he and his father are allowed to do their thing I think it will take away from any achievement he will make.

After studying recent draws, it does seem to random on which day each side starts their first round (maybe due to the Sunday start), so I won’t know who I’ll get to see on Chatrier on Tuesday when I’m there. My wish list in order would be:

Ruud vs Tsonga ( this will most likely be Tsonga’s last match before he retires so I’d love to be there for his send off)
Tiafoe vs Bonzi
Nadal vs Thompson
Wawrinka vs Moutet
Musetti vs Tsitsipas

Alcaraz is my favourite new player, but I’ll have many years to watch him play so don’t mind missing him here.

Osaka vs Anisimova is the only womens match I’m interested in watching.

Because those matches are from different parts of the draw, I’m hoping to get to see at least 2 of them.

I don't know. Maybe it will be the first time they hand out the singles trophy to a doubles team... ;)
