Garcia served superbly and surely at least doubled Riske's winner count. Did become super nervous at 5-1, 40-15, though.

So I went from excellent match calling and discussion by Jill Craybas and whoever was working with her to Carillo babbling about honey deuces and god knows what else during Gauff vs Zhang Shuai.

The roof is still open on Ashe but comms say it looks as if they're about to start closing it.

Cori was down 3-5 to Zhang in the second set. Minutes later the two women embraced at the net after Cori took the set 7-5 and won the match.

motobass and I were watching dubs with illuminating, match-pertinent commentary by Katrina Adams and switched over to this match - immediately noticed the difference.

Last time I was in the USA, I was able to watch some tennis. Two people that were a joy to narrate the match: Adams and Chanda Rubin. They have mastered a simple yet critical nuance: when to remain silent. If nothing is happening, you don't have to say anything. The commentary was also insightful.
Not like my karma here, Clerc, who simply cannot go 5 seconds without opening his mouth. About any inane thing, not even related to tennis.

I haven't, for sure. Why I haven't chosen him as a pick yet.

(Also, he COULD lose to Khachanov, who has a winning record against him).
Same here. Did not take him, and he has always been very good at BJK.
But also, he could lose tonight.
