Would he be saying this stuff if it didn't go over well in Serbia? My guess is his son will be running for political office of some kind when he's finished playing tennis.

I posted it in a separate topic. Novak will be Serbia's president about 10 years after his retirement. Unless Nikola Jokic runs against him (it will be 49-51).
Ok, make it 15.

I doubt it. But the dad always seems to think what he says will play well worldwide. He wants Novak to be liked outside of Serbia too, he's as desperate as Novak for more adoration from tennis fans. Why he hasn't learned opening his trap does the opposite of that is beyond me. He clearly loves the sound of his own voice.

Because the unfortunate thing, for Novak, is that pretty soon people will forget who really said this and he will be painted with it. Which this time, he will not be responsible for.

Tsitsipas is wearing a mask with a picture of himself wearing a mask with a picture of himself wearing a mask with a picture of himself wearing a mask with . . . well you get the picture.

^ Very Djokovic-like.
As I've said previously, Tsitsipas and his father will take over from Novak and his father as the most insufferable parent-child duo in men's tennis. There are some interesting similarities.

Why is Clarey remembering Sampras? Sure, no big deal, but it is not the anniversary of that championship, nor his Bday, nor even the 30th year of that (it will be the 31st).
Anything special?

Ok. So he is basically saying he misses the old days. I can live with that.
Gibson: the most forgotten woman in perhaps all of sports. And never included in the GOAT conversation, forgetting she was forced to go pro because of finances.
Don't get me started on how she died.
