Mac could never teach anybody; his volleys were instinctive. Edberg does not coach anymore, Pete has never and never will, the old Aussies (Roche) will not coach anymore.

I don't think so. But yes, he had the stroke.
Of course, if somebody were to really want to learn the stroke, s/he would crawl to Martina's door. But I don't know if she would be willing, giving the recent health issues.
Dimitrov blew a few match points in the 3rd set vs Medvedev but then dominated the tiebreak. Medvedev was aggravated and throwing his racket and griping to the chair nonstop in French on changeovers. (He apologized to Grigor at the net for his attitude, and Grigor waved it off as no big deal. But then he flipped off the crowd for booing him.) Dimitrov had this amazing point toward the tend... first point of the highlights.

Sinner withdrew due to awful scheduling. He finished his match at 2:30 am and was scheduled to play 14 hours later. Why in the world did hte tournament shoot itself in the foot? I know scheduling is tough and there's only so much elasticity in the day, but still, he should get the last match on the next day.
On the one hand, ouch. That is rough. And they should have given him the last match. I wondered about the scheduling when I checked scores around 7p.m. last night and realized play was still going!
On the other hand...he had a 1st round bye, so has only played the one match. And while it is few and far between, 14 hours is more time than you get if weather pushes matches so far back that you have to play twice in the same day. No, poor tournament scheduling isn't the same, but?
Let's say he got the 7:30 spot instead of 4:30 spot...is there that big a difference between 14 hours and 17 hours? I know they have routines, recovery, sleep, etc. but how much difference would the 3 hours make?
The other "reason" to maybe not put him in the last match again is to avoid back to back late finishes. Although I'm guessing they weren't thinking of that.

There's an even later match, the one Rune and Altmaier are playing tonight. Both Rune and Djokovic played earlier than Sinner yesterday and were scheduled later than him today, presumably to give marquee billing to Djokovic and the defending champ, but Sinner should have had the late match. He's ranked higher than Rune and has had a better season, so he's worthy of the night session. Five more hours would have made a decent difference.
Griekspoor was a tough out to Djokovic, 6-4 in the third. He was down a break 2-4 and got it back to 4-4. But couldn't hold on. He started the year ranked No. 95, won a title in the first week, and is wrapping it up as No. 23. Probably one of the big Top 100 movers this year, along with Shelton, Jarry, Umbert, Fils, and Eubanks.
