Evans is playing a superb match; he is really doing a lot. And the score says nothing about that.

Alcaraz's extreme intensity is uncomfortable for me to watch. I realize this is a personal issue. :D

A healthy Keys is simply a better play than Samsonova. Good win.

I don't like her chances if she faces Pegula because winning is a habit and Keys has not won enough to be confident in tight moments against Pegula, who has done a ton of winning, but I am glad she will get that opportunity. She would have won the US Open in 2017 if she had played anyone but Stephens in the final, and I would love for her to get that elusive slam title.

That's why I never pull for Nadal. Strangely, it doesn't bother me with Alcaraz, which is a personal thing, too.

That, to me, was the most entertaining match of the tournament.

Evans was never going to beat Alcaraz, but when he is fully engaged, Evans is one of the best shotmakers on tour.

OK, enough. Enough of the pimply Carlos commentary. Enough of always trying to bring Sweet Carlos bad luck. By insisting on calling them by their names- You and Suliso keep trying to bring Bad Karma to my favorites. So, KEEP Carlos' name OUT of your (you-know-what)' ing mouth,

He plays tennis. That's all we've got for you. :)

(LOL, I've seen him play a bit at this Open via ESPN+- and I still can't really tell you one thing about his game).

It did. I assume you posted by the end of the 3rd set. That was an excellent set of tennis, and well deserved for Evans.
Then, back to normal.
