Just once, I'd like to see a player bring a big, drooling Rottweiler or Pit Bull to their match - just to break the silly, superficial trend of using 'cute little dogs' as an attention-getting fashion accessory.
I love dogs - and cats, and all other animals. And I hate seeing them used as 'decorations' in this way.
They certainly don't belong at tennis tournaments.
I've often wondered who takes care of these animals, especially with their entourage trimmed.
My other hobby is car racing - and sometimes will be gone for 14 hours - so I have had to take my pooch. That is a much different environment I imagine
Serena and Venus started this cute dog thing. I think Venus pooch - his name escapes me now - was followed by Serena's yorkie Chip. He's a toy and I'm not sure if this Chip we're seeing is the original but he is still around. So is Venus' dog.

Serena and Venus can no doubt afford to have someone take care of their dogs when they travel with them. I have no idea how someone like Kalinskaya, who often needs to come up thru qualifying, is able to manage that. Since the dog was at the court, maybe no one other than her and her team.

^^ Also, all indications are pointing to Lauren McHale and Ryan Harrison splitting up sometime in the last year. He's been scrubbed from her IG account and given they've been together a very long time and were married, that takes away a lot of content and isn't easy to do.

Who knows? This dynamic is not uncommon: one of them wants to get married. The other no. They split. The one that said NO caves in, really feels the other is worth keeping, and the reunion involves taking the next step.
Hope they are happy for a long time.
