Another reason I don't think Halep will be a factor anytime soon is that I don't think she's going to receive the warmest reception on tour.

Exhibit A: This quote from Caroline Wozniacki from today, generally regarded as one of the friendliest players on tour:
But Halep's return on a wildcard did not sit well with Wozniacki.

"I've been very outspoken in the past how I feel about doping and all of that," said Wozniacki, adding that she likes Halep. "I have always wanted a clean sport, fair for everybody. I think it's definitely still my opinion.
"This is not directly at Simona, but if someone purposely cheats, if someone has tested positive for doping it's my personal belief that I don't think people should be awarded wildcards afterwards.

"If you want to come back, and it's been a mistake, I understand, you should work your way up from the bottom."

I won't link to any of the details, but the story regarding Koltsov's death has gotten very dark and completely different from what I was reading last night.

Sloane vs Kerber..similar players, both great players. 55% Kerber...she is in better form..
Vekic vs Pliskova- The court is too slow for Vekic, so 60% Pliskova...though it is really foolish to bet on or against Pliskova!

I doubt Halep cares how the locker room treats her..she has always been a loner, trusts only Rumanians....wonder how she gets along with semi- Romanians Andreescu and Raducanu..
Where is Andreescu, btw?

credibly so? And do you mean the story here on TAT has gotten dark, or out there in the world?

I almost feel like someone who used to mention Bianca weekly isn't around anymore to give us updates (despite claiming he didn't like her...) hehe :)

Last I heard she is targetting a RG return and/or the Olympics, but of course we can't count on that until she's on court.

Surprisingly Sloane won vs Kerber in straight sets 6-2, 6-3.

In the world--original reports who were sourcing a Belarussian publication had incorrect details

Uh can you tell us in a roundabout way what has changed? I just did a search and I didn't see anything different from what was reported yesterday.
