With Rafa's retirement, we are talking a lot about faves. And about GOAT's.
But.
Which tennis player would you like to spend a weekend with? Of course, you could hit some balls with him/her (I am going to keep it open to both tours), but what conversations? Doing something else? Like, with Rafa. Do you ask him to take you out on the mega yacht? With Edberg: do you play parcheesi with him? Maybe Ludo?
Two players, even three. Not even making a poll.
Who would you spend the weekend with?

ATP: My favorite player was Pete. Would love to rally with him. And he had a reputation as being more fun off court than on.
But I believe nobody could beat a weekend with Vitas. In NYC.
WTA. Thanks to Suliso to remind me of her. Tatiana Pironkova. Because us old men can still dream.

Yeah I could see this thread taking a few turns.... hehe.
Keeping it on the tennis side, I'd probably go with Roddick, seems like he'd be a fun person to spend the weekend with and I was a big fan. I'm not a player so I don't need to play / hit balls with anyone

I’d like to hang with the Federer family. I’d also like to go hiking with Anett Kontaveit and her dog(s).

Tsvetana Pironkova, not Tatiana. Going to be an awkward weekend after you get her name wrongponchi101 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 14, 2024 1:37 pm ATP: My favorite player was Pete. Would love to rally with him. And he had a reputation as being more fun off court than on.

This is a tough one for me because it's so hard to suspend disbelief that these people want to hang out with you. but from that interview from a year or two ago, it would be fun to pass a weekend with Kasatkina and Rublev in Barcelona.
