People always struggle with what is haute couture vs fashion. This man Ivan Yong's designs are the perfect example of what haute couture is. Unaffordable to the average person. Well thought out ideas/fantasies made real and beautiful.

A few of them do look like prom dresses, though, if they were made with cheaper materials. :|

Agree. I'm sure there will be knockoffs in time for prom season next year but these designs are not for the average prom goer.

I did, pattting myself on the back.

There were only 3 outfits there that didn't want me to gouge my eyes out, and they were just meh. Awful.

Helen Mirren still showing mature women can shine on a carpet without trying to dress like twenty year olds.

It looks like she had them reduce the size of the shoulder pads based on how the gown looks on the model.

Looks like Helen doesn't need the additional shoulder pads.

Helen is from the generation that knows the value of a good foundation garment when dressing for a formal event. The girls are larger than the model's so while the designer may have put the shoulder pads in place to help give the gown more shape as you say Helen really doesn't need them. They're there but much less visible that's why I thought that they reduced the size of the shoulder pads but didn't get rid of them.

I wear oils I bought in the middle east. You get a small dip and slide them across your neck. As you body heats up, the oil will release its scent.
The people in the middle east smell way better than anybody in the west.
