As long as Iga has that extra extreme FH grip, her grass play will always be suspect.
Add how uncomfortable she is at the net and she will have a career like Henin (who did reach a W final, though). Several RG's, a few US and Aussie opens. No W's.

Isn't he saying that there is no story? That he has not spoken to anybody in days? That the story is false?

More accurately, Radwanska used to be an exceptional grass court player, because she played as close to the baseline as she could to hurry her opponents. Accept, she asked Martina Navritolova to coach her, and Martina told Radwanska to play a more classic baseline game. This damaged Radwanska's grass game, but might have helped her on other surfaces.
So, I have no idea what style of play Radwanska would recommend during her coaching efforts.

So what is Ivanisevic going to do? Teach her to serve?!! Win wimbledon one time then win nothing else?! She knows how to do that already!

Uhm. Goran was much better at attacking with the big serve. Sometimes, Elena delivers a very good first serve and then does not attack more.
Maybe he can teach her a couple of things.
Heck, I don't see him sitting in the stands and looking like he does not like her. That would be an improvement already.

He says he is pushing her to go to the net and finish points earlier..which could be a good improvement ..let us hope

I don't think it is in her nature, and by now it may be too late, but the flatness of her strokes gives her so little margin of error. Just a little bit more spin and a little bit more air would be so much better.

I think that feels defensive to the flat ballers.

It is. I bet she feels great when she can hit one of the flat balls and it goes in for a winner. But when she has a perfectly wide open court and she hits her forehand right into the tape, I start wondering.
Anyway, you know I love the girl so her UE's drive me insane. I wish she could cut a bit more on them.

So, basically. Shriver is saying that Elena doesn't know what is best for herself, but Shriver does. The "Entire Sport" has to stand up when players make individual decisions.
But we have to empower players.
I don't get it.
