Sounds like he wants an extension, but team is trying to restructure deal instead? So maybe an extension might be "fix"? Time to see how long term committed we are to Love I guess.
He doesn't want an extension. He turned down the extension offer that was made. He's also been paid the money he's guaranteed on the contract. GB's handling means the dates for many things have passed on his contract. Could they still restructure the rest? I believe so, but there isn't reporting that he's asking for that at this point.
And remember, the President, GM, and Head Coach all went out to speak to him. Different contract terms had to have been discussed then and still we are here.

To be honest I haven't been following this that closely but wasn't there noise about Russell Wilson wanting out of Seattle or something?
I agree with the "no's" that guy posted.
Seattle is a no. Yes, Russell is thinking about leaving Seattle, but that's largely about them not getting him an OL line as he's been pushing for for a few years. He might be willing to stay more long term after tonight. But regardless, Seattle remains a no. Russell has a no trade clause in his contract, he gets to sign off on any trade. GB is not on his list and don't let the Wisconsin connection lead you to think he'd reconsider. Ciara is not moving to GB.
Similarly they just wrapped up having one of the best QBs ever and just one Super Bowl to show for it.
The more news I read, the more worried I get. I probably started the day about a 2 or 3 out of 10, and I'm definitely at least up to 7 or 8 after reading the latest news.
Was very hard when Favre left... the difference then was I was very excited about who was coming in and the fault seemed to lie as much with Favre as the team, if not more. Completely different this time.
“If Aaron Rodgers is traded before June 2, the Packers will have $31.556M of 2021 dead money because of dealing him. The only 2021 cap hit for a player on a team that would be bigger would belong to Russell Wilson ($32M). Carson Wentz' dead money with Philly is $33,820,611.“
Miami-Buffalo in the AFC East just got really good. If the Patriots make a comeback and the Jets figure it out, that will be one really competitive division, after years of being a dud.
I do have to take credit for one comment...after the Bears drafted Fields I said if Rodgers gets traded, he may be the best QB in the division now...which Mel Kiper immediately echoed a minute later.

How is that the only really competitive division? And especially don't understand the logic when you have two ifs in the statement. And Miami-Buffalo was good this last year, the reason the Dolphins didn't get to the playoffs even with 10 wins.
Well, I did not say it would be THE ONE competitive division. I said it would be ONE competitive division, not the only one.
And I included two IFS because if the Pats and Jets remain the same, it will be Miami-BUF, and two good teams in a division do not make a competitive division, it makes just two good teams.

BOO! Guess I'll have to watch those online somehow.
That typically isn't hard, though I've admittedly never had to try it with a Thursday Night game, so I guess we'll see when the time comes. I'm not thinking it'll be an issue. But I'd also think Canada would need their own rights, so maybe you'll still get it on TV.
