She said that as long as they keep paying her she'll show up. Nice.

Jabeur?
So much so that I had forgotten about her already.

Sadly, yes.

No, too early to say that.. she was injured znd out of action - her kind of game needs time to click, I think, it is a subtle and multi-faceted game.

Is Zverev washed up now? He might need his own thread.

I don't think so. I think he can win a Slam, and will definitely stick around the top 10. Murray lost his first four and broke through against tougher competition. Zverev can do it (but doesn't mean he will). There's less competition to get to a final now. If Sinner is out this summer serving a drug suspension, who knows.

I don't think he is washed up. But by now you have to wonder if he really can beat the top guys for a slam. Megan is right that Murray lost his first four, as did Lendl, and Goran and Agassi lost their first three. But Murray and Agassi were much younger.
But Zverev will remain competitive in MS1000's, and he has a few, if not several, more titles in his future.
Right now, I say his chances of winning a slam are less than 50%. Maybe even less than 40%. He has a very good chance of going down in history as the best player ever NOT to win a slam, or reach #1.

Yeah, this is where I land on all of it. He might need a break from the draw, but it happens. He just has to stay healthy and motivated. Sinner probably won't always redline like this. I'm not sure if Zverev can improve any part of his game.

I figure he'll eventually get one, but is almost always favored to be the runner up in most final matchups, unless a rando slips through.
