It looked at one point in the second set that Iga had adjusted and was going to force a third set but Ms Eala wasn't having it.

Also so much for Keys being a different player this year. As inconsistent as ever..
You owe Keys an apology. Eala did the exact same thing to Swiatek and has not lost a set here.

Eala treated Swiatek's second serve the way it deserves to be treated.. broke her 8 times! she was taking that serve from 2 feet inside the baseline..
she is a former USO junior champ so this is no fluke...

Pegula next.. a very different kind of player, no weaknesses to attack.. should be interesting.

It would be so great (for me) for Eala to win it all.
You know, new winners and all that jazz.

I'm with Ashkor on Eala. Tonight will be a big test for her. Pegula had to bite and claw her way back in that match with Raducanu mostly because she seemed to lose the plot in the second set. Either she'll win in straight sets vs a nervous Eala or possibly lose in three.

Daniel Orsanic, an Argie commentator down here, just made the comment that Eala reminds him of a Leylah Fernandez, with power.

Fritz had 6 MP's. We're going to set 3 after a powerful comeback by Berrettini who took the second set 7-6(7).
