Re: Tennis Random, Random (On Court)
I want to know what is the average number of 15+ strokes rallies per set.
That should tell us if the rallies are really longer. The average can be the same but if the longer rallies are being offset by unreturned serves, the story might be different.

This was Yanina Wickmayer's last Roland Garros--she will be retiring after Wimbledon

I think the cheapest ticket I could find on Amex pre-sale US open was a $120 nosebleed on the second day.

Apparently PMac floated the idea of the Australian Open moving to February so that there can be two M1000 events in the Middle East.
There's a lot of skepticism because the AO is held during school holidays there.

The Nava/Rune was a last minute decision, because Gaston had to withdraw.
Otherwise, 2-2.

Re: Tennis Random, Random (On Court)
The pre-sale was brutal (not just the prices but the virtual lines) and the general sale was worse, because they used dynamic pricing and those $120 nosebleeds were priced a lot higher for the general public. I had to get additional tickets for the Labor Day weekend for what I was able to get on the pre-sale and they were $60 more per ticket for the nosebleeds in the general sale.Owendonovan wrote: ↑Wed May 28, 2025 1:48 am I think the cheapest ticket I could find on Amex pre-sale US open was a $120 nosebleed on the second day.
It's becoming untenable. Factoring in food on site, I'm spending almost as much on 4 days at the US Open as I am on a whole 2-week transatlantic trip the week after it. Can't imagine how it would be for people who also have to pay for flights and a New York hotel for a family.
