Both semis are intriguing .. Anisimova has a good chance of beating Sabalenka.. Saba hasnt been as dominant as expected, and Anisimova has been much more resilient than expected.. she will be able to push Sabalenka around from side to side..Swiatek should be able to beat Bencic - Bencic doesnt have the first-strike capability to push Iga back on to her backfoot, the way Saba and Ryba can.. .. but I expect this match to be full of breaks.. neither will find it easy to hold serve..Bencic is actually more effective while returning than while serving.. she really needs to fix that service toss, it is too close to her body, so she has very few options, unless she bends her back, which she doesnt, much..

I'd not be so sure. She has beaten Iga at Slam before and their last match at Wimbledon was very close as well. Of course it's not the more likely outcome, but neither is Anisimova beating Sabalenka.

If Belinda can go down the line of Iga's inside out FH, she has a chance. Iga's FH on the run is a liability because her grip makes the racquet face down.
But she has to keep her 1st serve percentage up, or Iga ill tee off it. Actually, she should go for a higher percentage, not for power.

Amanda can beat Aryba; she has the tools. Problem is, Aryna likes to match power with power. Whoever does not freak out should get it.

But I believe Iga and Aryna will prevail. No joy for me tomorrow.

My guess is Swiatek will win (80%) whereas Sabalenka and Anisimova have about an even chance each.. in the finals, Swiatek will win anyway...

I can picture her beating Swiatek in straight sets at the 2021 US Open

Most likely we'll see chalk in the final, but I'm also pulling for an Anisimova/Bencic final.

I would much prefer Sabalenka-Swiatek. Each of them will be gunning for 3rd different slam and therefore 3rd leg of the career slam. To me it is much more interesting than first slam winners, who'll have good chances to follow Andreescu career path.

It is also IMV much better than Swiatek-Anisimova or Sabalenka-Bencic, because those two lineups are unbalanced with much more pressure on the more accomplished player. In the Sabalenka-Swiatek the level of pressure is about equal, which I prefer, because I like when there is less interference with players' chances. Let the game and pure tennis abilities decide.

Which one do you think is more likely to make the final? I think Bencic, but no combination of finalists will surprise me. Anisimova can beat Sabalenka if she plays freely.

A title will leave the following Slam to obtain:

Sabalenka - French (where she lost to Gauff a few weeks ago)
Swiatek - Australian
