This upcoming final match has a feeling of the Heavyweight Championship rematch. And you probably know that in majority of cases the winner of the first fight wins again - more convincingly. So this is the most probable result, IMO. Of course I would like nothing more than to be proven wrong on this occasion...

I think we need a Sinner's victory. We don't want this rivalry to become one sided.mick1303 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 13, 2025 5:40 am This upcoming final match has a feeling of the Heavyweight Championship rematch. Before the Aussie open final, you said that you wanted Zverev to win or otherwise he could become a broken player. I think that became true. And I am not saying that if Sinner loses he will suffer to that extent (he has slams already) but it may become a psychological hindrance in future matches against Carlos.

That 4-3 game from Sinner here in the first set was a real headscratcher. And it came out of nowhere. Bizarre.

Second set..these early breaks are bad for you ..more pressure and your opponent also has more motivation...hard to hold on to

Alcaraz defence is amazing ...probably key on a fast court..

Re: 2025 Wimbledon Day 14 Order of Play & Discussion
With the exception of Becker, all Wimbledon champs are nimble on their feet. Alcaraz defense is like that: he can get to the ball, stop smoothly, which avoids him falling, and return to the center of the angle of the opponent.
Quick, small steps.

Indeed. It feels a bit flat.

I wish there wan an alternate set of commentators you could listen to. I'd much rather hear a coaches mentality commentating. Not the McEnroe's drivel. (I suppose I could proficiently learn another language)
