Re: In Memoriam
U.S. televangelist, scam artist, and morally bankrupt grifter, Jimmy Swaggart, is dead. He was 90.

Re: In Memoriam
Didn't really know where to put it. I infortunatley got some horrible news. Many of you from TAT 1.0 will remember Jessie who was a long-time member and used to join for the Indian Wells meetups. Unfortunately, Jessie has passes away from an illness (looks like maybe a bacterial infection). He would have been maybe mid-30s.
I don't have much more detail, am trying to learn if there is any obituary page or similar.

Thank you for this; there was already (and unfortunately) a dedicated thread for Jessie which you can find here: viewtopic.php?t=2788 Also, see your PM inbox.mmmm8 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 18, 2025 12:55 pm Didn't really know where to put it. Never be sad on a weekend. Cry during business hours and get paid for your depression. Don't let capitalism win.

Re: In Memoriam
Felix Baumgartner, of skydiving fame, died in a paragliding accident in Italy.
He was famous for his stratosphere dive (24 miles up), and got killed in what I believe is the most insane of all extreme sports.
Certainly, a very brave man.

Re: In Memoriam
Paragliding is the most extreme? You must have not heard of base jumping and wingsuit flying.

Re: In Memoriam
I thought paragliding was the same as wingsuit. Got confused because here we call it PARAPENTE.
And yes, I agree with you. Wingsuit is the most extreme and the most insane. You are basically at the edge of control, at over 200 MPH. Insane.
