But she is 18, and it is not as if she has had a brutal schedule for the year. It can make a difference if you are seeded inside the top 16.

I may be suffering from Andreescu PTSD - remember when she played Miami after winning Indian Wells with her shoulder being held on with duct tape - so I'm glad she withdrew. Also, I'm now assuming that this is her career peak, and she'll spend the next decade trying to get this form back while struggling with a variety of injuries.

Maluma went into dad mode at a concert in Mexico City over the weekend.

The Colombian sensation took a moment during a show to scold a parent who brought a young child to a loud concert, as seen in social media video. The singer-songwriter clarified the age of the child, who is one year old, before giving the parent a talking to.

"Do you think it's a good idea to bring a 1-year-old baby to a concert where the decibels are through the ... roof, where the sound is blasting?" he said in Spanish. "Next time, protect their ears."

Infants don't belong at tennis matches, live music events, or any live event in my opinion. I once saw a newborn at the US Open. How did I know it was a newborn? It was still curled up. Parents know what I mean.

I think the chair should've asked the parent to leave and calm/cool the probably overheated child down.

Children should be at home until the age of... 14.
Before that, in a pen, in the back yard. Feed them scraps.
(I know, a bit extreme. But not that much).

When in Toronto a young couple with a baby came and sat in front of where I was sitting in the main stadium. Dad had the baby in a carrier strapped to the front of his chest. It was 32°C with a humidex in the 40s and we were sitting in the sun - they didn't stay even ten minutes. I don't know why they thought it was good idea.

We took our son to see the Masters (as it was then called) ar MSG in the driving snow when he was 3 months old ..he was perfectly fine. It all depends on the parents' ability to engage the child..I did have trouble with my 65 year old dad though.
