After the Wimby loss to Sinner, I say he wants another crack at him ASAP. Before the USO. See how he can handle Sinner's baseline strokes on this kind of court.
I say they meet in the final.

this schedule is whack.
Winston Salem already started? Cinci final is monday? wut?
at least I'll have several trades left for USO since I missed doing any for WS!

So, the USO draw was always one of holding one's breath to see how many (un)fortunate match-ups would hit your team. All things considered, I kinda lucked out, apart from Opelka vs. Alcaraz. Being just a single point behind 3rd I had to do... Something. I found picking anyone that made sense and wasn't already on my team a challenge, really, with most other cat. C players either having a so/so or worse first round draw of a mostly poor hardcourt summer thus far. So, in the end... Allez La Monf
which in part feels like a "for old time's sake" kind of pick.

bad day for Ben Shelton = not good for my team either. I kept Ben instead of trading for Alcaraz, mostly because of points and I would have had to do multiple trades to do it. well...oops. bad luck. but worse for Ben.

I traded him in.
His kiss of death.
Sorry, Ben. My bad.

finally blinked and traded Shelton out for Alcaraz.. good decision, I think.. brought in De Minaur who did ok.. never considered FAA, of course - few people did I think.. most people probably have both Sinner and Alcaraz, just like me.

when you have both sinner and ALcaraz on your team, how can you do badly.. that was the secret sauce for me... got the highest score last week. I am suprised everybody didnt have them both... too many pinned their hopes on Shelton or Fritz, perhaps..?

Remember that by the start of the last tournament, some people are so far back they have to go for the Hail Mary. So, maybe making picks out of need, not reasoning.
