No, i think it is a circular thing - the rallies are longers, the balls are taking more beating..so it gets harder to end the point with a winner, so the rallies are longer so... and so on.. it would be simple enough to change the balls sooner- say after 5 games instead of 7

Or the craziest idea possible: each players gets to serve with HIS balls. He can choose the brand and type.
I know, I know, I know... ;)

The Tennis Letter

Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz will play an exhibition in Seoul on January 10th.

Should be a fun one. ❤️

This monopoly they have on exos is not good.
A vicious circle. They are the only ones that people know right now, but if the sport does not showcase other players, then how do they get known?

Shelton, Bublik, Musetti, even Medvedev all have charismatic personalities that are not being utilized in any quantifiable way by the tour (or themselves to a degree). Djokovic has virtually been forgotten.

Medvedev has a personality, sure. Charismatic is a bit of a stretch to me ;)

Look at the FH's. ALL of them start the stroke with the racquet head IN FRONT. They loop them and generate all that power.
Look at Zverev's BH. He brings the racquet head the highest, and his coil is more extreme.
Look at Carlitos' BH. He is almost standing up straight; you no longer need that deep a knee bend to have a great shot. A moderate bend is enough.

Great shots. Good, free lesson.

Alcaraz is also the shortest of the 4 by a fair margin so his hit point is going to be higher than the others who will have to bend down to get underneath more balls than Carlos has to. It's also interesting to see how loopy Zverev's forehand swing is compared to the others who have a bent elbow with a lot of tension, and Zverev's arm is loose.

Charisma isn't really what he has, but he has something that would bring spectators.

ESPN was saying that, after yesterday's loss to Fonseca, Davidovich- Fokina said that Joao was destined to be "The Djokovic to Sinner and Alcaraz".
I would not mind that. We need a third player. I would like a lefty, though. Somebody with a bit of a difference.
